The A449 specification covers chemical and mechanical requirements for medium carbons quenched and tempered steel bolts. A449 bolts are similar to A325 bolts in terms of strength and structural characteristics, but A449 covers diameters from ¼” to 3”. Atlanta Rod manufactures A449 bolts in both Type 1 medium carbon and Type 3 weathering steel.
